I've been using some version of Microsoft Word since the mid 1980's. While Word has changed a lot in that time, one thing that has stayed basically the same is that it is still really hard to learn to use. Nothing against Microsoft, their goal has always been to have an amazingly full featured writing tool that can be the ultimate writing tool for all sorts of writing. I just wish their focus had been on making a tool that was amazingly easy to use.
Making tools and processes and experiences that make people's lives easier has always been my passion. When building websites, when I find some new tool or technique that I know will help my clients, it is exciting. I recognize how hard technology can be to understand and I want to help people save time and work with technology more efficiently.
